Is a 23 year age gap acceptable in todays world. I’m not talking about casual flings and swings but as a relationship. If he’s 46 and she’s 23

I was with my best friend as a partner at one time and he was a lot older. We still remained best friends until he passed on in January, Age is just a number if you are in love and consenting adult.

What do you think op? And then if it isn’t you you’re talking about, ask yourself, should the 2 people you’re thinking about really care about your opinion?

Mine - no, it doesn’t matter if it doesn’t matter to them.

Not acceptable by many, but still OK if that's your choice, which makes it nobody else's business.

Just be prepared for criticism.

Also, in my experience, the different life goals usually get in the way and these things rarely last.

Perfectly fine,if its love its love, providing its legal age is irrelevant

I agree, my experience has also shown the relationship is short lived. But what relationship is guaranteed to last anyway?

a village near Haywards Heath in East Sussex

The age gap at 46/23 has little impact as both will be working and fit and can do anything and everything . That will not be the case in 30 years time and probably much before then if unlucky . It may be of no consequence and one hopes not.
