What have been your favourite sci-fi TV shows? By 'recent' let's say the last 5 years, and we can be flexible and include some fantasy and horror too.

Dark

The Expanse - It's a shame they stopped with season 6. I continued reading the books though.

Looking forward to the Three body problem trilogy on Netflix. The books were amazing.

The Expanse is brilliant. I only recently got to see series 5 and 6. I didn't think they were *quite* as good as the previous seasons (I didn't care much about the abandoned son and the wrap up seemed to leave a lot of stuff not really dealt with) but still great overall.

The expanse is definitely the most flamboyant sci fi show.

Some recent series I've enjoyed;

Watchmen

Westworld (especially season 1)

Lovecraft Country

Twin Peaks - The Return

The Sandman (although not quite as much as some have enjoyed it)

The Power

Yes the last season especially was a let down because they killed of an important character in season 5 due to off-screen behaviour reasons.

Oh I hadn't realised that was why that happened! I'll have to look that up.

The expanse is outstanding.

The Boys is absolutely brilliant

Andor is very very good.

The Mandalorian is the best slow burn I've seen

It was such a slow burn I got fed up. Might also have been the hype. Might give it another go

I started watching The Orville a couple of years back to see what the hype was about but expecting not to like it much and I loved it - binged the first 2 seasons.
