After being single for five years since my divorce, the unexpected happened. I got dragged out late last night with my mates, and WHAM! ended up meeting a girl. Totally out of the blue, wasn't planning it, wasn't looking for it, but got introduced through a mutual vanilla lady friend who knows I swing. So ended up back at a party with her and had a good chat. She's thinks I just 'shag about' as she's vanilla too, and thinks this lifestyle is all about just sleeping with anything that moves. So I told her everything, her only concern was 'how would you just be able to sleep with one person now'.
Anyway, she wants to go out for a 'date' now & it looks like I've got some decisions to make, but quite suprised that she didn't run a mile when I came clean.
Isn't it always the case that just when ya having fun, something always comes up & bites ya on the ass outta the blue  |

Good luck on the road ahead. If I had to choose between a good loving relationship or swinging, the relationship would win everytime.

That hasn't been arranged or anything. We chatted and I was honest with her and told her that I wasn't currently looking for a relationship, but its kinda knocked me sideways a little.
She's been really understanding and said well if you want to, I'm happy to, so let me know.

Well, to me it sounds like she may be slightly curious about swinging too, and perhaps dating you is the first step in her "dipping her toe" so to speak? |

I've been thinking about that. And we had a good chat about sex last night, I've made the mistake before about getting stuck in a boring sex life, so I'm upfront from the outset now, before I take things further. And if they aren't open to discussing such things, then I reckon they probably ain't for me. She told me she loved sex and had been stuck in a relationship with a boring sex life also, but I don't think swinging would be for her, and as anyone knows, that issue shouldn't be or can't be forced |

I pretty much told her about all my experiences during the early hours. She had obviously heard things, so I give her it straight. I told her I'm not embarrassed by it & nothing to hide. I did however, forget to mention I went without sex for 25 months up until April last year, I should have dropped that in to the conversation, so much for shagging about eh? haha |

Me thinks you are overthinking this...take her on a date see how it goes...if it feels right then let things develop at their own pace...my best mate always gets carried away thinking about relationships after the first date...and so far none have got past 4 dates! |

Absolutely agree with this, our relationship comes over and above swinging and if neither of us were happy we would stop completely.
