Appreciation thread.
He will always be Del Boy to me, then Granville... then Pop Larkin.
Unpopular opinion but I didn't like Frost

yes I'm kinda with you on that, he's an actor though so i guess he's had a varied career  |

I think he is an amazing ubiquitous actor, who has turned his hand to many roles and always been amazing.
He was brilliant in Porridge don’t forget .. as Blanco… where he was made to look like an old man! I understand he was also in the running to be Cpl Jones in Dads Army, but Clive Dunn was that bit older … he too played a much older character.
I recently watched a very old episode of Randall and Hopkirk (deceased), sad I know! … and David Jason popped up there too!!
He pops up in soo much other stuff from the lates 60s / 70s.

He wasn't the first choice for del boy but one of the producers caught a rerun of open all hours and saw him as Granville
Never really got into darling buds and liked Frost but did not see every episode |

No I was with then partner and tbh I was oblivious it was him! Till he pointed it out! I'm not a very observent person! He kept getting phone calls on the restaurants phone kept having to get up to answer! Must have been b 4 mobiles!  time goes so fast! Don't seem that long ago x |

He was staying at the international hotel at the time along with other cast members my eldest daughter worked there at time said all the boys wanted to take up Catherine zeta Jones room service ! X |

That and toad, in wind in the willows will of been the first time I became aware of him. My childhood. Had no idea who the voice belonged to at the time

Ekkkk, sorry. He needs wrapping in cotton wool and put in a oxygen tank. We need this legend for as long as possible |
