I've not forgotten a first date about 30 years ago when she greeted me at her door with "Wow! You're bald as well as tall and slim. Come on up!". I couldn't believe my luck and I never worried about being bald since then.

Mind you, I've always let the sun shine on my head so it's usually a reasonable shade of mahogany and never tried to hide it other than to keep it warm outdoors in winter. It's the unexpected bald pate which can often come as a shock.
