Ever since the 1966 win of the World Cup, England never seem to be able to win the World Cup again despite all their best efforts and players.
Did the 1966 win curse the England team or is it just mere superstition? |

Just flat performances time after time, pressure getting to our players men & women.
But in both games, in the last 10 years you can see progression in International Football. |

I think the 1966 win has created a sense of arrogance when it comes to wanting to win the World Cup again. |

You mean like all the other teams in the history of world cups?
It is really not all that complex.
Face it, England are just not all that good in the grand scheme of football. And to be honest sports in general, we are nothing exceptional. There may be the odd one that shines as exceptional but as a whole, we halflings in a world of giants.
Majority of the time whenever England does well in football (men's) it's because we are often up against the lesser teams. Anytime we come up to a "powerhouse" England crumbles. |

In other words, the England team has always been crap. |

I think teams eventually find us out and do their homework. Look how Spain exploited the space we gave them today. For once, I think we got the game plan wrong from the off as we did change it and improve in second half. Well done ladies...see you at the next one! |

It’s very difficult to win a World Cup plus they are every 4 years. The main reason we never win is our footballing philosophies and tactical acumen is not on a par with our rivals. We don’t have a lot of truly word class players (mens game). In recent years we have closed the gap but still not enough. Also we seem to not do well under pressure like other teams do. When you look at the mens World Cup final and you have Messi scoring a hatrick and Mbappé scoring 2 that to me is testament to how difficult is it to win trophies at the highest level. That’s what your up against. |

"Fifa been known for match fixing
Are you suggesting today's match was fixed?
Well there was one Spanish player I saw who thought she was playing rugby with the way she tackled!!"
Nooooooooooo, that won't have been women's football. Women's football isn't exciting like that, you know? |

I don’t think there is a curse just the way football and sport goes in general goes.In the snooker world Jimmy White is considered by many to be the best player never to win the world championship he lost in 6 finals should have won two of them. |
