I have very small pears."
Tomatoes , Zucchini, cucumbers,corn,green beans,carrots,chives,onions peppers and jalapenos. Lots of rain and a good harvest so far. |

I've had a very poor year. One melon, three cucumbers , quite a few tomatoes but nowhere near the usual amount. Very few runner beans and French beans, spring onions, lettuce, rocket, courgettes, peppers and chillies. Some strawberries and raspberries. We've got pears and apples but there's no fruit on the cherry and plum trees. The grape vine has gone into overdrive though. We've never seen so many bunches |

My backgarden is essentially a mini farm at this point. I have some small apple trees growing, strawberry plants, blackberry plants, carrots and potatoes. Its honestly so much fun but if I could just get a summer without s I would be so happy.
This years harvest has been amazing though which has been a joy to handle. |

What’s with the plums this year? Up until a week ago *none* of my (usually bountiful) plum trees were bearing fruit. Not a single plum to be seen. Suddenly one of the trees has woken up. Covered in fruit. But only that one tree! |

We've got two fig trees, one is covered in fruit the other has one fig on it.

Oh no you haven't!
Ahem. I used grow peas, carrots, potatoes and a few other things, as well as strawberries and blueberries. Homegrown strawberrues taste amazing. |

Our Summer here in NZ gave us a bumper crop from all the trees at our little holiday house.
The two apricot trees were laden, plums, nectarines, peachcots and apples. Still getting through all the jam and frozen fruit 5-6 months later.
The walnut tree had a fair amount too.
At home was disappointing. No raspberries, minimal strawberries, but lots of potatos and a huge swede. |

Runner beans finally caught up the energy to crop and the beans are growing fast now 
Tomatoes are doing very well too, after being slow to ripen
I've reduced my overall crops this year as I'm busy Flowers doing very well too this summer |

So the plums are a bit 50/50 this year. Apples everywhere though, a bumper crop. All varieties. Plenty of blackcurrants. Loads of gooseberries.
Veg is easier. Early potatoes all harvested. Onions too. Garlic is doing well. Squash and sweetcorn well on their way. Chard has been thriving, as has lovage, and spinach. Tomatoes of all varieties are doing well, cucumbers not so well but I still have a few.
Herbs have been a huge success this year. Chives, sage, rosemary, tarragon, oregano, mint, lemon balm, basil, thyme, lemon verbena … and the parsley is enormous.
There will be loads I’ve forgotten, but basically it’s been a decent year apart from the plums. |

Our sweet peas have been beautiful as have the cosmos but sunflowers have been the stars this year. I emptied the seeds from last year's on the ground and there must be thirty all around nine feet tall. The only problem is that once they start going to seed they attract rats  so we have to pull them up asap |

I used to love helping parents grow stuff they have pears apples damsons carrots sweetcorn potatoes beans onions grapes toms and cucumbers but I don't eat any so only I grow now are flowers love my drive boarder |

Knew I’d forget something. Asparagus! Easily forgotten when the season feels so long ago already. Had plenty of asparagus this year.
And dill, and fennel. The fennel is over a metre and a half tall and seems to be self-seeding all over the damn place … |

I'm envious. We tried asparagus but it just won't do well here. Similarly any sort of clematis just dies. |

The asparagus is in a polytunnel - that probably explains the success. Hardest thing is remembering to harvest and eat it every single day, otherwise it overgrows. |

Wow, gardeners world meets Fab. Love it.
Sunny Spain has provided me with tons of outdoor tomatoes, cucumber (stop it). Sweetcorn, onions, peppers of many varieties, strawberries galore, lettuce, beetroot,potatoes and peas.
No,aubergines or courgettes this season.
Also, a very good grape harvest looms and the almonds and walnuts look plentiful too. |

The plum tree was looking hopeful (it’s inherited and I’m trying to reprune it..) I went to the allotment and some arsehole has cut all of my fruit bearing branches
I’m attempting the same with the cherry tree.. I think that will be next year before I literally see the fruits of my labour. |

Not been a good year for us this year. Was too warm and dry and then absolutely miserable.
We've had raspberries, gooseberries, onions, kale, beetroot and a couple of carrots. Got red cabbage to go. My damson tree though isn't doing well at all, got it last year it's grown, hoping it'll come next year. Have planted rhubarb crowns which have taken so will have a crop in the next year or so. |

Why do they do that?
My parents had an orchard that was mostly out of sight of the house. People would take all the plums and pears in one go. We could never understand why because they put all the surplus (and there was a lot) by the front gate for people to help themselves. We used to laugh because some cheeky devils used to knock on the door and ask if there was any fruit that wasn't bruised or pecked by birds. |

About ten apricots on the tree - not ripe yet, but the squirrels will take them. One plum on the tree. No apples. Some redcurrants and black currants, but could not be bothered to pick them (pidgeons liked them). Shall go to the Dollis Brook and see if the sloes are ready for sloe gin. |

Ow yes my kind of post! Soooo my pears are tiny! And hard! Carrots not good this year but squash are fab! And potatoes and raspberry strawberry all good cabbages awfull! Always feel a bit frisky at the allotment too  lou x |

I bought a hot chili plant from homebase, turns out someone swapped the tags around and I have bell peppers instead. I've had one fully ripe one and I have another two on the plant. I must say I was disappointed not having the hot chillies.
I have some olives too from a small tree I bought in the spring, some are about hazelnut size now, if I get a reasonable harvest I'm going to have a go at curing them. |
