Dear Nøn-Binariës, Persons of Interest, Gentlemën and Ladiës...

I rarely - if ever - run a fab search let alone send the first message. Today was different, with me being trapped in the monotony of work-related back-to-back video calls.

And so I performed a search and found that the top 9 profiles all coincidentally mentioned the term "like minded" and very little else! Have I missed something? Is being like-minded back in fashion, and am I now required to remove this from ·my· profile and think of something new and non-conforming??

I'm going message those nine ringwraith profiles with a standard cut-n-paste and see what happens...

Carlisle usually

I love when it says they want someone like minded and next to nothing else.

Tells me so much

Wherever

“Like-minded” goes along with “see how it goes” and in both cases simply means they have no idea what they’re doing.

Keep us updated on your research, please.

I’m curious.

(I think that’s a perfect opportunity for completely different thread.)

Not all of us share your superior cognitive abilities. I have to hang out with the dullards.

"Nice" - quite often such an insipid word, isn't it?

Just because one of my interests is the same as one of yours doesn't make us like minded.

To be honest, my mind is fucked anyway.

One of the most annoying, most commonly used phrases!

.

Like minded is tedious. Unoriginal, dull but not too offensive. Just mildly off putting, like the smell of potatoes boiling that haven't been seasoned.

Can I also add authentic? Fucking hell that word frequently pops up in my emails and every time I read it I want to reply with NO.

I can't sadly but it's so overused.

I have checked my profile to see if I'm guilty of these words.

You’d struggle to find someone with a mind like mine, it doesn’t exactly conform to society’s standard.

Total cock-up! I've just realised that "like-minded" was never on my profile in the first place. I've done my profile a massive disservice!
