My "friend" and I were talking lastnight and the topic of Viagra came up.
Not because I need it. But because an advert came on TV last night.
Then we wondered...
Is there such a "legal" substance which will help a woman with a low sex drive who wants to please her man/woman?
And if so.. what is it? |

Viagra doesn't increase sex drive. |

Viagra isn't about helping with lower sex drives, its just about maintaining blood flow to an erection. You still have to be horny and ready to go for it to do anything! |

If a woman has a low sex drive for medical reasons eg menopause HRT might help
If it's naturally low I don't know of anything.
If it's low because the man she's with doesn't really understand what she needs relationship wise then talking helps. That's legal and free. |

Amazing answers..
Yes.. I know viagra is for blood flow. (The words didn't come to mind... getting too old to remember.. lol)
As stated. We don't need it, but was a conversation we had.
Always like to drop a wierd or unquestioned topic every now and then!

"It can help some women be more orgasmic. It doesn’t boost sex drive though. It increases blood. Flow to clitoris which helps her clitoral erection. In some women this can make them more orgasmic"
Can think of many different ways to help to stimulate my clitoris.
No viagra or whatever needed |

Still incorrect. The tests done have not be found to prove this to be the case.
If it really did do this, it would be advertised as such, they would make so much more money from it. But they haven't, because it does fuck all for women.
Any kind of effect is a placebo. |

Yes there is and it's banned in the UK |

Sigh. That’s why I said some. True it’s not been proven in randomised DBPCT but at an n=1 level some women report benefit. True that could be placebo but it could also be it only works in a small subset of the population.
What is 100 per cent true is it will give increased clitoral tumenesence. How clinically relevant that is is debatable |

And in those cases, if and only if, it is needed in the first place. Exactly the same as men.
Thus limiting the effective sample size to even smaller numbers. |

I’d agree with you on that. From an n=1 perspective I’d happily support a woman trying it if she’s aware of the risks etc. there’s also weak evidence it can help SSRI induced sexual dysfunction in women. Given how horrendous that can be it’s worth a try |
