"Shepherds Pie
I'd quite possibly consider this as my Death Row meal. I can't get enough of the stuff, so long as no idiot covers it in cheese before baking.
"
It's weird as all my childhood I hated it, now I make it for myself I love it.
Tiny bit of grated cheese on the top here though.... |

Some sort of stew with herbs in that came in like a pyramid tbag thing. Ruddy awful.
She was going through an experimental cooking phase so tea time wasn’t the best time of my life. Thank god I went to my Nan and gramps for dinner! |

I'm in a very small minority on this issue, Grumpy, but melted cheese is the work of the devil. Except pizza.

I believe it was her Beef Wellington
Hen of the Wood and Périgord Truffle, washed down with a Veuve Clicquot, La Grande Dame Rosé 2012.
Rather galling old bean. |

Gammon with a tinned pineapple ring and chips. Chips were the only thing I liked from that meal. I'm a picky eater, although I'm slightly better as an adult. I have issues with a lot of flavours & textures. |

"Rabbit stew "
Ditto, but only because we used to breed the rabbits to eat and so I was quite attached to them.
I probably can think of more things that she did cook that I loved, some of which others probably think are fould - one being stuffed lambs hearts (never had it anywhere else) |

Oh god everything.
My mum put EVERYTHING into a chip pan & I mean everything!
Cutting into a burger cooked in a chip pan isn't nice, it squirts out chip pan oil when you cut it open.
I used to go to the table with a plastic bag in my pocket and sneak it all in the bag to throw away later on.

Sounds like your mum and mine were related
Warm pineapple out of a tin on gammon was enough to make me never eat it since leaving home
And tinned corn ?? just No ?? |
