I remember one year as a child on Christmas morning, my mum came down the stairs grinning and said "well ya dad's just had his present" 
Did anyone else's parents ever over share - or perhaps still do? |

My dad thought he was a lothario. I don't think he was intimate with my mum after I was born. He, however, had no trouble in sharing his conquest stories when d*unk. Hated him  |

Oh good god did my parents overshare
Well not so much as overshare, but just made zero effort to hide things such as porn, dildos, butt plugs, lingerie and cameras.
Not to mention the incredibly thin walls in my house growing up.
The things I heard would make a pornstar blush
Literally scarred for life...

That seriously made me cackle 
Considering I come from an ethnicity that's produced over one and a half billion of us, sex is considered a taboo subject so had no sex related conversations at all with my parents. |

I’m probably a little guilty of this but we have a great relationship and we’ve always been able to have a laugh and a joke and talk about anything.

Sex was hardly ever mentioned in our house when I was growing up. I was given the impression sex was a dirty thing.
I try to be more open about the subject with our kids but I don't overshare our sex life. We tend to banter on and make a joke of things surrounding sex so that it's not a taboo subject and our kids can feel they can talk about it. |

My parent's never over-shared. Sex was never discussed. My cousin however had quite a library in her study. I'd be dropped off over hers for summer holidays. I loved to sit in the study and read for the whole day. Her collection was quite "eclectic". Mostly Sci-Fi. One day however, I noticed a book called "The Diary of Anaïs Nin". She had a lot of books on that top shelf, and that's where I kind of self-educated.
She was a hippy, and her and her husband's house had a massive pampas plant out front. In the living room, on a wicker glass table was a massive bowl, and it never had fruit in it.
I definitely, as an adult, have my suspicions.
