Going to a group social tomorrow. Not a problem in itself, everyone loves Jennie!
The issue is that I am going in boy mode, and I am worried he wont live up to the expectations people will have of Jennie! You'd think it would be the other way round!
What do you feel before a social? |

"Go en femme "
Middle of the day, three hours of travel on public transport. In this weather my face would have melted and the corset s#ffocated me before I even arrived!
Besides, a 6'5" 'lady' with bloke shoulders and big hands doesn't exactly pass unnoticed! |

Honestly, if it’s the one I think you’re on about then I really wouldn’t worry about going ‘en femme’. And this is me being serious for 5 seconds.
Anyway show me your bumhole |

No matter whether you attend as Jennie or in “ boy mode “ … everyone who has the pleasure of meeting you for the person you are and if not more fool them.
Whilst I’ve never had the pleasure of meeting you in person, I’ve always enjoyed reading your thoughts and opinions in each and every post you post on the forum
I’m certain that once you meet everyone and fully relax, you will have a great time and all your fears and worries that you are currently experiencing will rapidly evaporate
Have a great time Jennie |

How nervous were you before MLS? "
A little but not as nervous as Leeds. The MLS had a group chat beforehand which helped a lot and also it had a load of forum folk that I was really excited to meet.

You will be fine.
At my last social I was sweating buckets and looked even worse than usual. The kind gentleman only puked twice. |

I always get nervously excited before a social, but try to keep an open mind & go with the flow. Some people I thought might be awkward, we've actually got on like a house on fire & were soon laughing like old friends...
I'm sure you'll have a great time!

I'm going to be there and I have no anxiety whatsoever. I've just bought some picnic food to share. I could do with a 6ft5 bloke to help carry it, to be honest
I was contemplating buying a shopping trolley |

Jennie you'll be fine, people will be happy to see you there (probably)
I do empathise with your feelings though.
Doing socials in boy mode is something I worry about myself.
It breaks the illusion and it can be quite jarring seeing the person in boy mode for the first time.
But it is also a reality that people need to be prepared for.
Best of luck with it all, I've no doubt you'll be a hit.
You might be able to get dressed when you're there, could be an option maybe?

"I'd hold your hand if I was going. "
You have such a lovely face!
Jennie, you'll have a fantastic time. I normally feel a bit of a sensory overload in all honesty. Once I've managed to navigate that? Excited. A bit nervous. Mainly excited to see friends old and new alike. It depends on the social and the people attending. Right now I'm extremely excited about a few I have in the coming weeks for various reasons.
Have a brilliant time, lovely. |

In the middle of a park? "
I've done it! I used to give a talk and demo at trans support groups where I would change from him to me right in front of everybody, including changing top, popping boob fillets in, putting on wig and doing make up. All without ever being indecent.
I did in fact once sit by the statue of Queen Victoria in Piccadilly Gardens in the very heart of Manchester, middle of summer, hundreds of people around, and do my quick change. The only person who noticed was a child looking wide eyed as I did my makeup
Travel in jeans and fancy tee, androgynous but that would look more femme when you add jewelry. Wear flats, take heels and essentials of makeup in a shoulder bag. Perhaps accessorize as you reach the venue. Pop chicken fillets into the bra you're already wearing under your tee, either before joining the group or even after you've introduced yourself (always an icebreaker to say "can you just hold that a moment love" and put a silicone boob into someone's hand ).
You'll probably even get volunteers from the ladies to help while you do your face... It's all a good laugh and a great way to make friends. Polly xxx |

I feel nothing before a social, because I don't go - in girl or boy mode.
So you're a better person than me, my dear. You'll be fine. You'd inner Jennie will shine through. Just try and stop it!

I feel pure excitement these days. An opportunity to catch up in one go with few friends and put some new faces to the names I've been reading and enjoying for ages. And dear Jennie you'll be welcome in any mode. You are lovely. More of you please

I hope you are having an amazing time Jennie! No matter what version of yourself you are in - you are still you and that is an amazing human
Before socials I'm terrified, especially walking in and having to start conversations. I'm not very confident but quite good at blogging it - the downside is I tend to talk absolute shite (or more so) to hide my nerves |
