So before this gets to a big debate, the Scottish accent of the English language is actually an accent. Because it is the same language used in England, Wales, Ireland, the USA, Canada etc.
Gaelic is the original Scottish language, but the vast majority or Scots use the English language.
I'm not from Scotland, but that's my understanding of it. For the record, I'm not English / British either, so do forgive any misconceptions in my understanding. |

Oh god! That means I have.... I'm half asleep. If I have offended anyone, I'm sorry. Not my intention, just what how I see it.

"There must be other people who like an accent different to their own?"
I like all accents. That's not to say I'm attracted to them. I like accents though, it's part of the person.
Some are more appealing than others of course, as a scouser I know this better than most. One of the marmite accents. But generally the variety is what appeals to me. |

"I swerved the brexit thread, being Scottish I'm all about independence innit
Okayyyyyyy "
I can see how swerving it makes sense
"We want to be an independent nation, so we have the freedom to give our sovereignty away to the EU"
Squaring that particular circle never made a lot of sense |

"Who's got the worst accent in the country?"
That's as subjective as accents that moisten ya knickers .
The dry up type of accent is in the only fools and horses spin off. Green, green grass methinks. |

Unless you’re blonde with blue eyes and double D’s it’s not going to work. |

"How is it not an accent?
Well he like saying English accent..Scouse? Cockney? Manchester….Cornish….etc "
Yes those are English accents, well done. Scottish accents could be Aberdeen, Glasgow, Dundee, Edinburgh, Wick. They’re still Scottish accents |

Plus I would go as far to say, despite being their own accents their differences are not as distinct nor diverse as English accents. England really doesn't have a collective accent, we're as with Scotland, as you say they are 100% without a doubt Scottish.
I don't think anywhere else in the world has such blatant and polarising diversity when it comes to accents as England does as a country.
A Boston accent is huge difference to a texan accent of course but even then it doesn't come close to the UK differences. |
