So I'm going to my first ever music festival on Sunday (don't think you can count smash hits beach party in the 90s)
Not camping, thankfully. Any top tips?
And how do you snuggle in your booze? True to my Scottish stereotype I refuse to pay their bar prices!

Good comfy shoes
Snacks
If it’s all day take appropriate clothes especially if it’s too hot or raining or cooling in evening
Sun cream
A hat
Old school but a bum bag for money and cards and phone etc.
A water bottle
I also took a small roll mat or a section of one to sit on the ground |

You can get booze in sachets (like ketchup packets) that tuck nicely in a bra

We have ponchos for the rain and I'll definitely be in flats |

Flirt with or know security, time it when very busy, throw it or pass it to your friend inside, hollowed out unsliced load of bread , Foldable chairs.
Enjoy! Last ones I did was Summertime ball, Citadel and Glastonbury. The last Glastonbury i bought a fake NME backstage pass for £20 and we could take whatever we wanted in |

"You might be able to smuggle a small bottle of something in on your person, in your bra or underwear...depends if they do body searches. " We bought pouches to tape to ourselves (the young team at work gave that tip) and to hide them in an empty pack of wipes |

Me flirt might get my friend to do that!
Don't think Linlithgow palace will have a need for back stage passes but what a genius idea! |

Deepest darkest Peru |
The festival I went to last month we had little pouches taped to our thighs. They made us open up our foldable chairs to check them
My saving grace was my poncho as the weather was not kind. We had rain, thunderstorms and hail with a sprinkling of sunshine
The dance tent was like a mud pit |

"You can absolutely count the Smash Hits Beach Party in the 90s."
In fact, I got pissed and gatecrashed the Smash Hits Poll Winners Party once.
Great times. |
