My first sight of them this year was a display of pretty white flowers cowering under a hailstorm. So much for the herald of Spring!

Am I the only one dreaming of sunshine?

Winter almost seems like a strange kind of dream at times. It feels as though my spirit is waiting and holding its breath and I can finally uncurl from hibernation when Spring arrives.

Crocuses make me feel as though Spring is closer. There's a hill in Norwich (yes we do have the occasional hill!) and whenever the weather improves, a great multitude of lilac, white and yellow flowers shoot up all over it. Then I know it's Spring.
