how many treatments are best ? I know a kinda open question but to get the benefit I wouldn't imagine getting too many would be good but then again, you want to maximise the day |

Guess it depends on the facilities. The spa I go to has an amazing pool and lots of steam / sauna rooms, hot tubs etc so at most a couple of treatments which would take up to 2 hours. Then you can spend say an hour at lunchtime, leaving you time to enjoy the pool etc.
But some places sell themselves as spas but are very limited ie basic pool with a sauna or jaccuzi if you're lucky. I think a lot of hotels do this to jump on the bandwagon. |

Ragdale Hall near Melton Mowbray is an awesome spa - I go at least once a year for a 5 night pampering holiday but they do different spa days/breaks...with regards to treatments, I'd say no more than 2 on a spa day and enjoy the other facilities - for example Ragdale has a thermal spa with 6 different heat rooms and a candle pool, exercise pool, swimming pool, sauna, solarium, jacuzzi, gym, a full daily program of exercise classes, relaxation lounges...ooooh roll on April when I'm next there |

Way over Yonder, that's where I'm bound |
I like my body to be worked so I usually book two treatments a day when I go on a spa holiday. Lots of swimming, classes and end the day with a hot stone massage. The best sleep in the world is then guaranteed. |

"Think I need one. Eden hall in Notts is good. Any others?"
There's an amazing spa in Ireland. Google it "Delphi Mountain Resort". It's in the middle of no where. If you ever fancied getting out of the UK, that place is well worth a trip! |

Back on topic, there's also Hoar Cross Hall, Burton-on-Trent - I've been there once and it was nice but a bit too formal for me (dressing for dinner and all that whereas I prefer casual). Nice thermal spa though but I wouldn't go anywhere but Ragdale now when I'm on my own (I'll try other spas when my mate is with me) |
