I used to have a nice face pic up, fully suited, I thought I looked good. I met up with a girl from here and we had a lot of fun, she ended up telling me that my cock would get a lot more attention than my face.
I took it as a compliment, struggling not to cry thinking that my cock looks better than my face (jk I know what she meant).
I put a pic of my cock as a display pic and she was right lol, I got messages of couples and single ladies, whereas before it was incredibly rare!

It’s taken me a year on here to become comfortable with sending a face picture by DM. I’m a lot more confident in my looks than I ever was before.
As a profile picture - still wouldn’t, but no longer through lack of confidence- mainly because of my job and a a previous poster has said - there are just a few too many wrong ‘uns out there. |

We couldn't put our faces on though I did put a face pic of Tom on one night (it was a dare - don't ask) then took off the next morning.

Never.
Not for any other reasons than because I'm self employed, some people can be closed minded/judgemental and i dont want to affect my means of earning a living, and also my choice to be here shouldn't have any negative impact or adverse effects on family and friends.
No matter how I feel about the scene some will always look to use your presence in it for the wrong reasons.
It's just not worth the hassle.

He is not wrong. Statistically if somebody is flippant, careless and flirts with "danger" with their own identity and security then they are much less likely to do so with with that of others. |

I understand that, maybe I’m taking it as a personal dig at me.
I don’t give out my personal info flippantly especially phone numbers
And just because I show my face doesn’t mean I will tell them others peoples info.
Maybe because I’ve worked abroad in security roles where hiding my face isn’t an option, I don’t see it as a direct risk
But hiding phone numbers and social media protected myself and my family at home. Which is what I do |

It's not something I would ever consider doing. In fact I don't even have a facepic in private pics on here.
I will only ever share a facepic after I've agreed to meet someone.
Despite those precautions I've spoken before on here about being approached at socials by complete strangers who said they recognised me from my facepic in the presocial chatgroup.
I had never been in the chatgroup and wouldn't have shared a pic regardless.
I also commented on another thread where I had been given the facepics and personal details including full names and place of work of two women in the thread by another "popular" female fabber simply because I had disagreed with both ladies and she was offering me ammunition.
The points raised above about lack of discretion ring true for me because there are some professional victims who take shelter in these forums who are hoisted by their own petard due to not giving a fuck about other peoples privacy. |

Not true. I’m extremely respectful of others’ privacy. When I was showing my face that didn’t change anything about my level of discretion for other people.
I sure as hell do look after my own safety. But when it comes to a face pic? My thinking is no one can “out” me if I’m already out. That’s a very conscious decision. |

A few years ago I had my face on here, turned out I worked with someone who’s wife was on here and when we arranged a meet, he cancelled it and then I got sacked that week, since then I never show my face on my profile |
