What’s worse, being told you are going bald or ‘thinning’ on top?

I’ve just been told one. *cries

Narrator- ‘it wasn’t, me…’

Ask someone to look. I was shocked. I thought my hair was good.

Started going bald at 16. Tried a ....ahem....comb over. Realised I looked ridiculous. Shaved off. Best move ever

There is over the counter stuff you can try to stop the fall out, it is a liquid that you apply daily (Regaine) or some tablets you can get from the GP.

Yes but the trouble with those is that as soon as you stop using it, you lose your hair again

I know, but they give people the option to prevent baldness

Best thing ever. Don't need a comb and dries in seconds. No muss, no fuss

I still have a full head of hair, although I keep it short. Loads of completely bald men seem successful with women, but I think I would be one or the other.

No idea, I've got enough hair on my head for at least a few people

There's also Finasteride.

I have thick great hair and barbers can't bang on about how great it is.

So I can't help.

Personally I would say being told that you're thinning is worse as I prefer people to be direct.

No danger of it happening here, although I've given up picking out the greys!

Neither really, I just reply “It stops it going grey” and that tends to quieten down those having a pop

I've been told by barbers that I won't go bald.

But it hasn't stopped it going grey.

I know, that's why I said you can get tablets from your GP

If people are being rude about it, I politely inform them that hair only grows on monkeys and female genitalia. I then ask “which one of those are you?”

Shave your head today. Save money on hair dressers and look like a bad ass with your bald head

Shave it...neither applies then. 0.5 grade for me and it works.

Just embrace it and shave it- 'balding' is not a good look.

They amount to the same thing? I was grey in my twenties turning white in my thirties, what the fuck can I do about it? That’s right fuck all so I did my usual throw it in the bin and get on with it.
