But on a serious note, where are you going? I'm in South Wales I can get to London quicker than some parts of Wales.

What kind of activities would you like to do? Hike, castles, neolithic monuments etc

The Gower has beautiful beaches. Brecon beacons is a vast site, with gorgeous countryside and walks. West Wales - Tenby/Saunders foot - also has amazing beaches. There are plenty of castles to visit!

It also depends what interests you have. Is it countryside you want to see, or more of enjoying the towns and cities?

Well I’m biased, but it’s pretty stunning here.

Lots of great recommendations. You’re in Pembs, and there’s loads of beautiful spots there.

If you have time, get to North Pembrokeshire - amazing coastline and, historically at least, completely different culturally to the south of the county (60-70% Welsh speaking, though that’s probably changing ).

Maybe even carry on further up the coast, or head inland in Mid Wales - actually more remote feeling than North Wales.

Snowdonia is gorgeous .

Starting in Tenby you'll have crossed south Wales...

Leave the best till last and travel up to real Wales...North Wales...

Tenby cardigan Aber..mach doll la ga loo..Abermaw..nudist beach..

The llyn(with World ranked beach pub)...

Snowdonia with proper mountains (in your face)..castle's if you want to see castles come to Wales...ok the non pure (unlike us) neighbours built them..then just before you cross the border (passport ready) pop and see the world's biggest little football club..

London

These are the places I can remember from a 2021 trip to the Snowdonia region: Caernarfon Castle, climbing Mt. Snowdon (highly recommend - I climbed up the Snowdon Ranger path just because it sounds cool - there are harder/easier ones), climb a bit up the Watkin path the next day for a nice waterfall bath, the smallest house in Britain is a nice curiousity place to visit, Conwy Castle.
