Inspired by a chat with a lovely lady I wondered what your favourite Bond music might be?
I say music as it's not just the themes that are good where 007 is concerned.
You only live twice - Nancy Sinatra
Wicked tune |

The original, sleazy, London jazz of the main Bond theme (Dr. No soundtrack) . The sense of malice, violence and lust.
Bond title songs? 'Goldfinger', 'The World is not Enough' and 'The Living Daylights' mainly down to my second favourite Bond woman.

"The best singer that did a bond was Matt Munro .
Agreed!"
Yep! Totally the right answer, and considering he crooned out "On Days Like These" in The Italian Job too gets my vote |

"Chris Cornell or Garbage would be my choices
Chris Cornell is probably my favourite singer, but I am not too keen on his bond tune."
One of my favourite singers too so I was a little bias on those choices |

“You know my name” by Chris Cornell from Casino Royale.
.
“If you take a life do you know what you'll give?
Odds are you won't like what it is
When the storm arrives would you be seen with me
By the merciless eyes of deceit?”
.
It’s usually enough to send chills down my spine. |

Surrender , kd lang
Big brash brassy...
Was meant to be the main credits tune for tomorrow never dies, but they went with sheryl crow.
It was used as the action theme throughout the film ...rather than sheryl crow. |

I'm kinda shocked no mentioned diamonds are forever by Shirley Bassey, her vocals were amazing and showed amazing power.
As for which is the greatest singer, surely it has to be Shirley Bassey, the only artist with 3 bond themes. All of them classics. Goldfinger and Moonraker were the other two. |

"We Have All the Time in the World
Louis Armstrong.
On Her Majesty's Secret Service"
We have a winner!
although its second prize as the real answer is, the two bands that should have done Bond themes- Portishead and the utterly perfect choice of Goldfrap! |

I am a fan of bone and the music, so I tent to like the music within the movies rather than the title track.
So checkout Quartermaster from Skyfall
Space march you only live twice.
Bond lured to the pyramid moonraker
Goldeneye as a title track |

"Bond averts world war 3 (from You only Live Twice)
Just looked that one up as I hadn't heard of it, Classic John Barry "
I can't believe we got so far without mentioning John Barry. Without his soundscapes it simply wouldn't have been Bond |
