Do you have cameras and other such devises all over your house? It seems that everyone puts camera and camera door bells up at the moment. Do you think it helps? After all they can still cover up their faces etc and do the damage and images will be no good evidence for the police to do anything. |

Not at this house no. I wouldn't like them in the house because I think it's a bit of an invasion of privacy.
When I didn't live with family we had a camera outside the doors. I had a bad experience once and after that point I made sure to buy a camera. And it was amazing too, I'd be out getting notifications chatting to people etc who had just popped by. Also handy to know who was at the door before opening it. I'll definitely get cameras again when we get our own place.
You'd be surprised too but it definitely puts people off. |

Yes. Lots of scum around here. Always trying something.
Some do cover their faces. Some don't.
Some are quite obvious and do things that can make it obvious it's a know individual. Last summer some dude tried to break in to my neighbours car, while he had on a t shirt only. His very large tattoo was visible.
Sometimes they are just fun to have for the comedic value of what they sometimes catch. |

We have a ring door bell. Someone tried to break into our house when we were in our beds sleeping. It alerted us that someone was at the front door and fortunately for us he didn’t think of covering his face before attempting it.
It’s also great if you’re out and expecting a delivery etc. it’s worked well for us so far. |

We have camera's outside our house but we're set back quite a bit off the road. Other people's privacy isn't a concern here because if they're on camera then they're on my property.
If somebody who hasn't been here before is calling over I tell them that they're there incase they feel weird about it .
Only camera inside is the baby monitor.

Those who have them, did you go with simple wireless ones or fully installed ones. I have seen some simple wireless ones that are quite discreet and look easy to install but not sure uow good they are. Not keen on drilling for wires etc on a very expensive system. |

Wired are always superior. Solar powered next.
The problem with battery is not only do you need to charge (even if it may only be twice a year), they go in to sleep mode, by the time they wake up they have often missed what initially started the recording. |

Mine are fully installed and connect to every TV in the house so I can monitor them from any room. |
