If I may... That's a misconception.
Onan didn't fulfill his duty to provide an heir for his dead brother. - That was his 'sin'.
Biblically; men can have wives and keep the marriage bed pure or remain single and work for God (as Paul does).
Men are to view other women as sisters, men as brothers (first and foremost) (rather than lust after them). In other words; to care more for what's on someone's inside than outside.
The Scriptures are all about attaining to the 'ideal' but love covers a lot of sins and much of it is about being convinced morally in one's own mind regarding their actions. |

Generally old school religions like church of England and Catholics yes it’s a sin and it’s also Haram for Muslims. Charismatic , Europeans/ Americans - no. It depends because sin is anything that gets between you and God. And yes all people sim, it’s impossible not to….

Acts 17:24 "God...does not dwell in temples (churches) made with (human) hands".
I personally find more morals in places like this than in 'church'. No wonder Jesus was always avoiding the hypocrites in 'church' and hanging with the tax-collectors and 'sinners' (most of whom at least 'admit' what they are).

The Catholic Church has specific guidelines for how long to masturbated, I seem to remember it's 12 minutes and you can't think of someone else's partner. I'm not catholic BTW. |
