Has anyone else noticed (or does it just happen in our local area?) that a jiffy bag or large letter received through the post never has the postage stamp franked ?
All our letters are franked but large letters/packets never are - leaving me free to cut the unfranked stamp from the packet and use it again on another letter with a bit of sticky tape |

It's because in the mail centres the letters go through a machine which overprints the stamp, whereas the packets get sorted by hand so the stamps don't get marked. |

Leaving tight bastards like me free to re-use them
