As a man I was conditioned from a young age that men are strong, we don’t cry and we hold our heads high.
Luckily nearly 6 years ago I thought “bollocks”, I don’t actually feel well and sort medical advice.
I have had tubes and probes and anything else you can think of in places that made me feel violated and vulnerable.
23 surgeries later and 51 different varieties of treatments today is my 5 year clear date.
So whilst I say for the men but I mean for everyone if you don’t feel well listen to your body, you know it better than anyone. Seek the advice because the tough physical and mental times around that period, which I now manage so much better, are a better option than not doing anything.
Doctors and surgeons have seen it all, yes they may not have seen yours, but they have seen it all, seek advice when needed or even if you think it is |
