Delete my message thread, please?
Jump to: Newest in thread
So I do send a few messages to women and couples, I generally ask that if they aren't interested, could they just delete my thread and I'll get the hint.
I feel this is easier for them, than to reply to say nope, but if they are read and not deleted I have this faint glimmer of hope that maybe they've put me on the hotlist, and might come back one day.
So, could you just delete my message thread so I can have some closure?
Or a courtesy 'nope' reply?
Probably silly of me |

I think most of the posts you get on this thread will tell you it's not up to you and they can do what they like. Personally I tjink it's odd keeping messages showing unread for ever if they have quite obviously read them. But, each to their own. Just don't let it bother you. It's not from people you really know. |

Most men here face the same issues as you. As a couple, we get messages every time we appear online but we aren’t necessarily looking at them at that time. Our messages are managed by Tones because I simply don’t look at them. Sometimes, we just pop in to the Forum for some light relief and the messages go unchecked for a few weeks.
Don’t take it to heart that you aren’t getting responses just yet.
You might want to attend some organised socials.

"OP, you can delete your sent messages. That'll solve the issue."
You know if you message yourself and read it, it stays unread.
*please don’t ask how I know that. |

Not sure expecting others to take responsibility for your messages is the right path. As suggested, delete your sent box and you'll have no further worries |

I always put this as my last line.
If you reply to this message in 5 hrs you will receive good luck in the form of a lottery win, and if you don’t a puppy will die.
It never fails. |

Add in the other torturous element of people reading your message and then marking it as 'unread'
Either way, as someone else said, if it bothers you that much give em a week and then block+delete the sent mail at your end and move on. |

Honestly OP, your best bet is to just delete your sent messages. It doesn't delete them from the recipients inbox, but will stop you obsessing over the what ifs.
Women on here can easily get upwards of 100 messages a day, there is not the time to read each one's specific instructions on how they'd like you to respond, if there's even the time or inclination to read it at all. Send a message, delete your outbox, and let it fall from your mind. |
