I’ve had one for years, lots of people mention the chipped ones, is it worth it? Is it easy(I’m a Luddite) and can you get in bother?

It takes 5 minutes to do and costs about £50 a year. Usually you just message someone on WhatsApp and they send you instructions on how to do it and you send them payment. Or so I’m told.
