Do you book a holiday for the year after as you get home from your current one?

That’s not the question, but. Concidering I’d not looked at booking holidays for a long time, I now want to. I want to go away, a kinda long weekend and as I’ve never been to lots of places, I’m thinking Amsterdam for complete and utter innocent reasons. …

Has anyone been? What’s. Your view?

Also? Where else is a good place for 3 nights? And AFFORDABLE!!!

This is my aim this year! I generally leave it till about 3 weeks before.

Amsterdam would not be my choice, far too sociable from what I hear.

I found Antwerp better than Amsterdam. It has a large red light district if that’s your thing but some good clubs in there as well. Great squares with some good bars in them. And the diamond capital of Europe I believe, if you feel so inclined

Amsterdam is lively, highly recommended. Definitely look at other city breaks for short stays too. Depending on what you like, there's some fantastic places to visit.

I'm going to Colorado next year and going for a road trip to see/camp in national parks.

I'm also thinking about going to Morocco to surf for a week either before or after Christmas.

We did the ferry to Amsterdam so we didn’t get the chance to do it properly. I think we were only there about 6 hours. It was a great little trip and no doubt we’ll go back for a couple of nights.
