A hot bath, my bed, bottle of cherry Lucozade, bar of chocolate and Netflix or a book.
Not necessarily cheered up but distracted.

I usually have a binge on junk food and try to find some peace and quiet. If it's raining, a walk in the rain or opening up all the windows so I can listen and smell the rain makes a huge difference to my mood as I find a lot of comfort in that sort of weather. |

Thai food.
Except today, which was a particularly crap day. I was starving as I left work, so I phoned my local Thai place, only to be told that there would be a 90 minute delay. I ended up having an egg sandwich from the Co-Op.
I am not cheered up. |

Writing a stroppy email to a client who has failed to pay one invoice but thinks because he has offered me other jobs I will let him off. Since I own the company, if they are going to be arseholes, I can tell them to take a hike as I don't need their business and have loads of reliable clients! Now they have to look for some other firm to do the work that they had me quote for.
Actually, venting on Fab is quite cathartic too! |

Cathartic ranty fuck the world conversations that lead to laughs, giggles, cries, whatever - as long as it's real.
Hugs, tea, fire, walk in the woods, music.
Or just fuck it, it's a bad day so I feel a bit shit. It'll pass. |

Soppy this but couldn’t care, what helps for me is knowing I going to see my baby! she’s really is why I carry on some days, the reason I open my eyes. I tried ending life last year walking her in field and somehow she knocked me over jumped up and ripped her lead in half what I was using etc.. she never leaves my side ever, she stands infront of me on walks if dodgy character walking towards us.
Never known a dog like my girl.

Don't have bad days since going freelance and leaving office working. I did and still do, enjoy cosy nights in watch flix n tube. Enhanced if it's raining outside. Just something about stormy weather at night that gives me a good feeling. |

A huge hug from my daughter always makes my day!
My dog also knows when I’m upset or down and always keeps me company. |

+1 this ^
(although I have to say in my line of work the freelance market has already been decimated by the rapid onslaught of a.i... but that's another topic for another forum) |

Depends how bad it is...
1) A few drinks to take the edge off.
2) Sleeping tablet, bath with candles, eat nice food, get cozy on the sofa (with candles) and watch Attenborough documentaries under a duvet.
Sleep is always good - cleanses the mind. |

Depends on what caused the day to be shitty. The other day was not great, and I wanted to get out of the house and do something on my own, away from the kids (who were the reason for the not great day), but couldn't (due to the nature of one of the kids making it a shitty day) Cryptic, I know. Mental health related and I needed to be around for safeguarding. But I just wanted to get off the merry-go-round for a bit, recharge myself to be able to carry on.
Usually venting works. I need to get it out. |

Spending time with my wee dog. Nothing better than seeing how happy they are to see you after you’ve been away all day. Loyalty in its purest form never fails to cheer me up |
