Science is always done for a reason and that has always meant political agendas.
The largest leaps have often been due to things like major wars which invariably leads to large funding increases and hence more discovery.
The idea of science without agendas is just not possible. |

Can you name all last year's Nobel prize winners for science? Or who had the most cited paper in nature last year? The vast majority can't which suggests many aren't in the public domain in reality. |

And that's not a bad thing, it's just people perceive they see lots of scientists preaching. When in reality it's mainly rubbish newspapers taking their work and using it to scaremonger. That's not on the scientists it's on the papers in my opinion. |

Exactly this! I'd prefer to see/ hear them wheeled out from their dusty labs and structure my opinions on fact/ their studies, than that of spin and half truths. |
