I've just seen the new theme and logo and I almost threw up in my mouth.
This app is an absolute joke now and I think this is the beginning of the end. Actually we're in the middle of the end bc that demise began when Elon Musk walked into the HQ with a basin - which gave us all ideas where twitter was heading: Down the toilet.
Seriously! What is wrong with this muppet? Why is he such a bellend? What's the point of all this?! His army of morons are even more ridiculous. 'Oh yeah, let's give more money to a trillionaire so we can use this app thats already free! Yay'
So what are the alternatives? Are you guys switching over to Threads? Already on Threads? Getting off Internet altogether?

I was never keen on Twitter, and I’m certainly not joining threads, I don’t like social media that is owned by billionaires if I can avoid it so I try to opt for de-centralised apps instead, so I have been using Mastodon as part of the fediverse for quite a while and that’s good |

Nothing can look and feel as bad as Mastodon. I tried it for about thirty seconds and only found the bams, gammon, yoons and fuds I'd blocked on twitter.
Substack is, for now, a much nicer place. |

We used to have bendy buses in London. TFL said "they're not bendy buses, they're articulated vehicles"
We carried on calling them bendy buses until they started bursting into flames then disappeared.

Twitter is/was probably the best social media app. The amount of news I get from there hours before anyone who doesn’t use the app is amazing. I’ll be sad to see it go down the pan and I don’t think Threads is good enough to replace it. |
