I wrap my hair at night. With a durag when my hair is shorter but with a bonnet more these days. I sometimes get unsure about sleeping with it on with new people. Should I bring it up and warn people? I used to just not wrap my hair when I stay with people but it feels like I’m hiding part of me
Warning: I’m not going to be this sexy in the morning |

My wish is to make a person comfortable enough to not to think like they need to hide their true identity when I’m with them.
It’s the most vulnerable thing and I want to see it, and I want to be a part of it.

I would hope that the person I'm meeting would be comfortable enough to tell me or just be comfortable to do the things that they need to.
I take my makeup off at night, I don't wear a stupid amount but I will look slightly different in the morning. |

Waking up with someone is really vulnerable isn’t it |

This is so true!
My thing with make up is even if someone slept with it on they’d look different in the morning |

"I have sleep apnoea and have to sleep with a CPAP machine on. I don't think I'd have the confidence to stay over on a meet purely for that reason."
I know someone who was really worried about even her longer term partners seeing her with that.
I’m sorry |

Why do you wrap it? Is it like a hair conditioner thing? |

I worked with a woman who waited until her husband was asleep to take her makeup off and got up before he awoke to apply it. I wonder how long it took him to realise she didn't actually have green eyelids |

It is, but I think people don’t realise that until they do. |

I also have a prescription gimp mask.
But I've never had an overnight date unfortunately. But I'd either miss it for one night, or just explain. |

One of my ex’s had to sleep with his mask on.
It was actually quite soothing hearing him breathing but it took me a while to get used to it. He was also very confidently upfront about it when we met and I never saw it as an issue. |

It’s better for your hair. Helps growth. Cotton pillowcases can damage and break hair which means growth will just take longer. Also if I had a protective style in it would be to keep it. |

This is why I have started sending in two face pics with and without makeup as I'm not one of those who wake up early just to put on fresh makeup.
But as to whether I would be at all fussed about you wearing a hair covering at night you do you.
Everyone looks a bit different the next morning.
Be the authentic you at all times. If they don't like it they are not for you. NEXT. |

I don’t know why I just don’t want people to judge or worse, laugh. |

I can explain it to people I'm comfortable with. I did end up sharing a bed with a couple after a party last month. Didn't have the machine with me but I only got an hour's sleep anyway.
The replies on here are reassuring. I guess going forward I can try and have the confidence to mention it beforehand.
This is what I like about the swinging community. We accept people's bodies for what they are. I feel so welcomed. |

Yes
I think you need to gage each connection, what the communication style is, maybe how often you meet.
At home I use a sleep mask, sometimes have hats and things I put on my hair, but i've never used them out and about as there's no immediate detriment to not using them for a night. However I do have a dodgy shoulder, and when it flairs have turned up to a fellas with an orthopaedic pillow prob wouldn't on a first date though...

I pineapple my hair (I do not get along with bonnets, sensory stuff - although the hair is getting long enough that the pineapple doesn't always stay, ffs) and I've never warned anyone, they can die mad about it if they don't like it. I'd feel the same about a bonnet. |

I don’t find bonnets sexy and wonder if that’s something I need to unlearn |
