I ordered all this stuff of amazon tonight, went to pay for it and me fucking credit card had run out 35 minutes previously and couldnt find my new one lol.

Christmas. Lets be honest here, the true meaning of Christmas has long gone. Nothing more than commercial hype, for adults its time off and the excuse for a party/piss up and to over indulge..whatever....for children its toy time and father Christmas...Jesus Christ...who is he? For years at my childrens school there has been no story of the nativity only half arse shows whereby the teachers have their moment of glory to extract talent from the children and finish off by blowing sunshine up each others arses. Not even a Christmas carol sung. When you consider it is, or supposed to be a religous event...for the best part what a bunch of hypocritical heathens we are!
TV (not trannys), that sucks too..all these advertisements that are rammed down our throats by the like of Jamie twoting, lisping Oliver depicting such idyllic Christmas settings in a world of affluence..what a load of bollocks.
Don't get me wrong, I love the time of Christmas.....but..I hate what its become! 
Some of us are proud to be Heathens and celebrate Yule ... re-birth of the Sun rather than the dubious circumstances of one human ... much more fun too "
Why are people so miserable about Christmas? You'd think they'd welcome a brief respite from all the crap we have to endure for the rest of the year... even if it is transient and Christmas is over-commercialised... so what, everyone is allowed to make a buck aren't they? We all go to work and would stiff the next guy for an extra £1 per hour.
I'm not a religious person so JC & The Nativity Trio mean absolutely nothing to me but I love the whole Tree/Lights/Decs/Holly/Turkey side of things. I love having my kids together under one roof and watching them open their pressies. I love doing family stuff that isn't available the rest of the year, reliving Christmases from long ago, watching the films, hearing Carol Singers, building a snowman (if it ever snows on Christmas)... What's not to like about all that stuff?

The company I work for has an annual shut down over Xmas as it has limited support cover. This year's shut down is a week earlier than usual so I finish on the 10th Dec and go back on 11th Jan. I have to keep holidays aside to cover the break but I love having the whole month off over Xmas as it means I can concentrate on getting ready for Xmas and doing stuff with the family. |

Well, I'm not overly religous though I do have some beliefs and as I said I enjoy Christmas myself since I too have young and older children. Here is the onion....if it was not for the nativity...you know, Jesus Christ,Mary,Joseph,three wise men and all that other shit....there would be NO Christmas and that includes Santa,trees,lights,reindeer and wait for it..Christmas Day...DU! |
