I have recently found out one of my staff really fancies me.
She Now flirts with me a lot and we have a great banter going.
The chats are getting more sexual and yesterday she just came out and said she wants to sleep with me.
What should I Do.
I fancy her.
But it's the situation with the other staff I am bothered about. ...

Nope......don't Shit where you eat and all that jazz.....far too risky, internal politics, sexual harassment claims if you dump her, favouritism claims from other colleagues etc etc.
You might also want to check up on company policy regarding inter office relationships. Especially with direct reports. |

I'd fuck her and worry about the consequences later. If any of your other employees give you grief you tell them to mind their own business or find another job. |

Any company policy will be his own company policy. There is no law against having sex with someone in your employ. |

I know there isn't a law against it but some companies don't look favourably on it and so have policies around it. |

The only way I'd "do anything" with someone I work with was if and only after one of us had left: Not while we both worked there - the only way it ends well is if you both got married.
Please PLEASE do not get it mixed up with the "Shagged someone at work" fantasy stories people peddle - those are exactly that: fantasy! Even for those it happens to, it may seem fun at the time, but unless either party is a temp or intern that gets moved on, it ALWAYS ends messy! |

Heres another take on it !
Three and a half years ago my marriage ended . A few months down the line I ended up in the same situation as the op , and went on a date with one of my employees .
The date went well , we slept together after a few more dates and started a relationship .
Eighteen months later we found about fab and took the relationship to another level .
Last august we got married and neither of us has ever been happier !!!
So from that , draw your own conclusions |

Would I sleep with my boss? Hell no, he's a big geordie.
My wife's old boss - very much so! Not met her new one in a sober enough state to remember.
As for mixing work and fun - be very very careful. Sometimes it works, but more often than not it ends in strife of some sort. Good luck!

I slept with one of my staff 25 years ago. I was the boss.
We went on to have two kids.
Then later she went on to have a relationship with a complete s**t, wrecked my business and bankrupted me.
So, in answer to your original question, as the boss is 'No, I would NEVER sleep with any of my staff' - and as my staff are now all over-weight, smelly 45+ blokes, that ain't gonna happen!!! Lol!

I can't help feeling that for these blokes who have slept with and then had relationships with an employee.. What were you thinking!!
Fuck 'em and leave 'em, but you don't bloody marry them! That's asking for trouble! |

Have to disagree with all the hard and fast 'no' answers. That's too cautious. Weigh it up yourself. Why are you hesitant? Is it just because she works for you?
When I was in Oz, I had a few dirty sessions with one of my team. No consequences, no comeback, we just had a great time. If I'd discounted her just because I was her boss, I would have missed out on 3 months of superb shagging.
If you're both on the same page, get in. Do it. If you think it could go wrong, tread carefully. |

No aside from the fact that she is too young, married and a little large for my taste, I would never ever do anything with anyone at work, just think it leaves one wide open to abuse |

There's your answer then, but get her to sign a non-disclosure agreement (better than a pre-nup as it's written in company law and not marital law) |

If you want to do it and can handle any possible fall out then go ahead you're both adults. Think very carefully about any future situation you might find yourself in though for instance disciplinary procedures, appraisals, another employee having a grievance against her, if you need to make anyone redundant.
We met at work and are still together.32 years later but we weren't in an employee/employer situation which can add problems. |

I do also agree with this though it is extremely unprofessional and you are in a strange way more vulnerable and open to accusations of abuse of power. |

You've made up your mind, or more to the point, your dick has made up your mind, that you are going to have sex with this woman.
Nothing anyone says at this point will make the slightest bit of difference, all is futile.

What if she goes all fatal attraction on you afterwards if you try and end it.... says she was under duress, felt sexually harassed....
Conversely what if she tries to end it, says she felt under duress to do as you say, felt sexually harassed....
Either way its tribunal time, whether there is a case or not, everyone will find out, your employees, your wife, your competition in the labour market.....

Just make sure you keep all your texts, emails, the lot. If she accuses you of harassment later, which is actually against the law regardless of your company policy, be able to cover yourself and prove it wasnt. |

The fact you have to ask the question means that deep down you know its probably not a good thing. Taking advice from here will be the worst thing to do, you should just go with instinct, which I suspect has already answered it for you. |

I have fucked my employees before and it is risky. I think trust is the main key that has to be established before you even think about it. If there is any doubt in that trust walk away. If you have a good relationship no reason why you can't end it amicably.
We can't answer this as none of us know you or the other person involved. |

Just keep it as flirting. You should keep work and sex separate. Mixing the two is dangerous.
You're on Fab so you're obviously sexually open minded, people in the real world tend to be less so.
She may want more than a fuck then it will become awkward and messy.

Our son starter a relationship with his manager. When it became evident that it was developing into a serious relationship our son requested a transfer citing the reasons above.
All turned out really well, his manager was promoted into a regional role and our son was promoted to assistant to the new manager. Their company doesn't like to employ partners in the same workplace.

Why shouldnt you in all things it can go badly but all the same it could go great and you end up married with kids, life is too short to go around worrying what people think or is it right as long as legal and you both are consenting adults the why not.
But be safe and do as stated save emails and txts etc etc as for the workforce you could always offer them the same deal lol |

Most of the guys on this site are shagging behind their partner's back, so it is perhaps not the best place to discuss this. They will all say, yeah, go for it. |

go for it and time will tell if you made a mistake or not
good luck to you both we say |

if your her boss id stay away, could turn out great but it could go the other way, once you have shagged her she could expect special favours and if you dont give them her who knows where it may lead, you'll never be able to fire her if she does anything wrong as she could take you for unfair dismissal because of your past sexual relationship
like i said could be a great thing but think of how else it could turn out |

Even talking about 'her' here puts you at risk in employment law and you could be seen to have abused your position as employer if she says she was under duress, it was all you, and this is a late attempt to make yourself look clean. As an employer you are in a losition of power over your employees, who are thus vulnerable and protected.
She could resign herself and sue you for sexual harassment.
Like I said before. Co workers, family, wife (or gf) and competition will all know.
It just aint worth risking it for a quick pokeroo of your sizzle stick. |

I went through a tribunal recently and got pretty genned up on it. Its a bloody minefield and the employee can run rings round you over this sort of stuff.

Years ago (well nearly 8 years ago!) I had a relationship with my boss. He was my boss first, then my fuck buddy, then my boyfriend. We worked incredibly well as a team but had a phenomenally tempestuous relationship out of work. It only came into work once and we both vowed never again for that to happen. The relationship broke down and I left where I was working, the two were not mutually exclusive events and I had planned to leave the job earlier.
I wouldn't do it again but it wasn't something I regret.

"yes its my company and I dont have rules

You'd better have a better reason than that for asking her to resign. You are setting yourself up for a constructive dismissal case as well as sexual harassment. Your ego may also take a knock if she points out that a salary might be a tad more important than the chance of an orgasm.
Now, as a young, impressionable, horny woman I had sex with more than one of my bosses. I only regret one of those as with hindsight I saw that I was coerced (however mildly). It could have ended badly for all of us except that it was the 80s and it happened a lot back then. The world has changed and people are more litigious than those by-gone days.
If you trust her and you both genuinely want this to happen then all is fair. Just keep what happens sexually outside of the work realm. That means both of you being professional and adult at all times, before, during and after the relationship. |

This is not totally true, I have a fb at work, been playing together 8 years, we know how to keep work and fun separate. We both know its nothing but fun and no relationship will ever come out of it. Other employees know, and aren't bothered about it. |

As most have said prob not good idea.
However it doesnt have to be bad.. i (mrs) was manager and a chap came for interview.. got the the job and ..mmm .. very nice.. i even arranged a leaving do for another member of staff to ensure we all went out together.. thankfully by the end of that evening its was clear he felt the same.. we now been together nearly 20 years.. its not always a bad outcome.. but attitudes have changed a bit so prob best to avoid.
