play with my twanger

saw an episode of the old childrens programme rainbow and was totally shocked by what was bring said. I infact can't believe I was allowed to watch it.

what with bungle and geoffrey happy to play with somebody else's twangers, not zippy though because apparently his twanger was too little but never mind because he could always play with jane's marakas

I kid you not this was the dialog for the episode. Who else has seen this episode or remembers the show as being great to watch as a kid but far too much of a jimmy saville vibe to it now?

The Magic Roundabout......

Dylan the rabbit was high on wacky backy, Florence was a bit of a 'goer' and this strange bouncy guy on a spring ordered them all to bed at the end of every show.

The double entendre laced episode you're referring to was apparently shot purely as a laugh for the production team, and was never meant for tv. It is hilarious though

Kids current TV is no better!!

I have a 2 year old and cbeebies is on regularly. It's shocking, I'm often rolled up laughing at some of the things they say. There is no way it's just coincidence. It's def for the grown ups x

Many years ago there was a program with a woman callesd Susan Stranks, she had 2 spiders that used to crawl over her ( think they were itsy and bitsy), but the spiders were someones hands, and they crawled all over her chest, often wondered who the lucky guy or girl was with the spider gloves lol

Actually, it was Roger the Cabin Boy but there wasn't a Seaman Stains, if you are referring to Captain Pugwash.

I have seen the clip you are on about. It was never shown on TV. The cast done it for laugh. It is very funny and quite sexual in content.

Dylan smoked

Florence was a prostitute

Dougal ate sugar cubes laced with LSD.

Mr McHenry the gardener was a grower.

Brian the very fast moving snail was on speed.

Ermintrude the cow ate magic flowers (mushrooms)and always had a smile on her face

Zebedee was on or speed?

Or so the rumours go
