I would like an ex that gave a shit about anything but himself for 2 reasons...

If might improve the relationship between him and his son instead of having to persuade him to spend some time with him once a week.

It might allow me to have a bit of time to myself. Not necessarily to meet but even to just have some me time x

That is not a reason to bring back a sick employee... bad management if nobody else has the ability to cover for you when on sick leave!

I'm actually really happy at the moment...a visit to NZ to see my son would be nice, but can't think of anything that I want to change right now

Don't worry about a rant... that is sometimes the nice thing that people can spontaneously air their frustration and get support from their mates here. I can understand how frustrated you must feel, especially when not well. xx
