what do you think we was in the pub thursday night . and in there was 2 tv`s both preopp one who we have knowen for years one useing the mens loo and the other useing the womens loo . now to use there is no problem but some friends who know we swing asked us if we think its right that they shud be aloud to use the womens loo . for use we say if preopp yes they shud be aloud to use the womens loo they have to spend the days as a woman to get the opp . the friends think not there coment was they shud use the Disabled loo . they even whent as far to say even after they have had the opp they shud use the Disabled loo . we dont see why we understand what they say but the law says a preopp has to live as a female for so menny years befor they can get the opp how can they do that if folks think they carnt live as a female like a female . even asked the guy if one was in the mens next to him how would he feel about a tv in the mens same reply shud not be aloud . so we said cock or no cock they carnt use a normal loo just dont get it has england come out of the darkage or not . it even whent as far as them telling the landlord how they felt landlord backed the tv`s with the coment we carnt tell them they carnt use the womens loo . later we move onto the next pub and they was in there and no Disabled loo as all are on the same level and Disabled friendly very funny as our friends would not use the loo`s when a tv whent in . any usefull coments as we will see the friends in the pub today and if it crops up want to have better repys but not nasty one`s

I live in a rural (some might say backwards) area and if a TV was even seen in a pub, chaos would rule, regardless of which loo the poor girl wanted to use! The first time I was out in the Gay Village in Manchester and used a unisex loo I was surprised (hadn't noticed there was only the one entrance to the toilets!) when a bloke came in as I was chatting but obviously it didn't bother me. I can only suggest mentioning to your friends that some places now have unisex loos and that just because the person in the next cubicle to you is a man in a dress they're still a human - don't know how tolerant your friends, but glad to hear the landlord supported the TVs

Obviously there are a number of issues which if taken to extreme interoperation do create genuine dilemmas…

However its fair to say clothes do not change our gender….. and as harsh as it may sound anyone undergoing gender reassignment presents a completely different set of circumstances to that of a “recreational” Transvestites….( I only use that term for want of a better one and it's not intended to be disrespectful)

I would hope there is ongoing support provided to people undergoing gender reassignment by qualified professionals who offer relevant advice on how to overcome or avoid all the potential problems that may arise..

I can only speak from my experience as a tv(Transvestite),in clubs and pubs that hold events for us I use the Ladies,in others I use the Gents.

As for ts's(Transexual)totally dif kettle of fish as they are women so should use Ladies loos without prejudice.

Yep, the only issue I have is with those (of any gender) who choose to use the disabled loos and do not have a disability - totally unacceptable in my opinion.

Does anyone care what toileys people use anymore as long as there are doors and theyre clean what difference does it make?

I often use the mens or disabled toilets (fem here) if there's a massive queue in the ladies. Disabled toilets are for the disabled but it doesn't mean the non disabled cant use them. If its free and it stops me waiting for 20mins whats the problem?

it all depends on if they are TS or TV, if its just a bloke in a dress then they should use the gents as they have no desire to be a woman only dress as one.

if they are a ts pre or post op they should use the ladies as they are living as a lady not a bloke in a dress.

I wouldn't like to think what's likely to happen to a bloke in a dress trying to use the fella's loos round here - it wouldn't be pretty!

Totally agree with the post above.

One other point that may cause the OP issues with other people is.... its not a 'disabled' loo, its an 'accessible' loo, means its accessible for all types of disability.

Sounds a bit picky i know, but could cause bad feeling. xx

As a single dad when out and about town with my young daughter i insist on her using the disabled toilet should she need assistance im only behind the door.

What's totally unacceptable about that ?

Really can't understand why they'd have a problem. I mean if you're in the ladies you're shut away in a cubical. It might cause some confusion seeing a pair of feet pointing the wrong way but that's all.

I once had a tv in my bath. I could empty it by removing the butt plug

I (M) like using the women's loo. I must add I only do it when there is hardly any women the pub, ie on a Saturday afternoon for the football

They are a lot cleaner, they smell nicer and there is always toilet paper in there.

Oh, and women don't piss all over the seat either.

Like said earlier if they are living as a lady i.e dress as women all the time and want to be a woman that is completely different to a bloke that like to dress as a woman for kicks.

unisex tiolets are fine and I have no problem with them but in these cases you know what you are going into before you use them, but to many a bloke dressed as a women in a ladies loo could cause many problems for the other female users

Having a problem here, ok, I go to the loo, do my pee pee, shake and wipe, then walk out, wash hands, touch up lipstick and walk out.

Having another person (whatever sex) washing their hands next to me wouldnt bother me.

Honestly cant see the problem. Why get so hung up on it.

You will find alot of ladies (ok maybe not on this forum, seem to be a bit more tolerent, open minded call it what you like) would have a problem with a bloke in a dress in their loos.

I dont agree. I think some people may be surprised if they are not used to seeing tv/ts but that would only be if they could tell it was a tv/ts. But as to actually having a problem. ....as the lady previously said how can you have a problem ....youre just going to stand in a queue with or wash your hands next to.

Id be interested to know what the actual problems would be .

There's a kind of unwritten rule among most t-girls that we use the loos appropriate to the way we're dressed, i.e. if we're in female mode, we use the female loos and we use the male loos when out in "drab". In my limited experience, ladies don't mind about presentable t-girls using the ladies loo.

Having said that, most t-girls only seem to go to pubs, clubs etc. where they're likely to be accepted or at least tolerated.

Over the rainbow, under the bridge

I sometimes drink in a particular bar in the Gay Village. It has one loo for use by all. Cubicles as you walk in and urinals round a corner. Works very well.
