Who do you have it with and what do you do.
There are some contexts when it's fine have the same conversation repeatedly, eg with toddlers, or if you were an air steward doing the safety drill
Other times it can be at bit much. |

 My man says at a particularly long stint of inclement weather notices were erected to dissuade customers from commenting on it!
When serving the general public it's such a kick when finally someone makes an unusual and pertinent observation. Scripts and more scripts! |

Carer for parentals and frequently hear the same moans and associated stories... it's unbelievably knackering! Week in/ week out trying to correct misconceptions or just listening to the same tales of old.
Not sure if I look forward to doing the same to my children, or would prefer being put to sleep before I get that far. |

Went through that with my dad. He could complain about the same thing at length repeatedly. I'd end up screaming in the car on the way home. It was very wearing. |

My mum had a brain injury and became slightly obsessed with owing people money. Every conversation I had with her concerned who she owed money to (nobody), had she paid the milkman, paper bill, the mail order firm she bought her giant knickers from and ended with the phrase "now, I don't owe you anything do I?"
It was wearing and terribly difficult to just reply and reassure. Eventually she stopped and focused her attention on buying things and giving them away to me and any other visiting relative.  |
