Friday marks the 1 year anniversary of my little brothers death. I had big plans for a wild summer break last year but he was found dead on the first day of the summer holidays and wasn't cremated until the last. It was a whole summer of mourning.
So this year I need to kick things off in true "lil bruv" style.
I'm probably going to go to one of the capitals finest "pound in a pint glass" establishments, maybe get a curry, listen to some late 90s uk garage and drink like the lyrics of a chumbawamba song.
How do you remember/mark the passing of loved ones?

That's so sad, my condolences.
We get together for my mum's passing anniversary as it's a family member's birthday.
We meet at my sibling's house or go to a park with a cafe.
We've never done anything for my dad as he died when we were all still quite young.

We lost our mum 5 years ago.
She used to love us all being together for family Sunday lunches - her favourite time. We don’t do it as frequently as we did, but when we do meet up for lunch now, we always set a place for her, and always raise a toast at the end … our little act of remembrance.

My condolences and enjoy your remembrance
Having recently lost dad not sure what if anything we will do going forward. Esp as siblings live in different countries. I know one of my siblings visited his grave on the first father's day, birthday and wedding anniversary.
At the moment we are all dealing with it in our own way. |

Sometimes your own way is the best way. I'll be doing it on my own as I've distanced myself from the family after his death. |
