This has been a large topic of conversation between us recently, Mr thinks I have a default type but I really thinks its about the person.
I can't help if the person sometimes looks like just like the last one that grabbed my attention 
Do you have a type? Or just attributes/features that attract you? |

Honestly I don't know. I don't think I do. Maybe subconsciously there is but if you look at my exes or just women I tend to find myself attracted to, there is certainly not an obvious thing that they have in common. |

Female presenting people: dark hair, long, bright smile, nice eyes. I prefer curvy but I don't care about much psychical wise. I couldn't do anything with a woman over 50 because the crippling mother issues.
Male presenting: dark hair, long. I prefer my men to look like they wrestle dragons and shout loudly with 4 other big hairy men in bands. I like beards, abit of a belly. Can't date/be with men younger then 30.

I've been talking and thinking about this a lot and it whittles down to this.
People of quality, character and decency.
Everything else is ephemeral, around that nexus of the fundamental core.

Visually we have our types, the ones that take our eye. We generally share the same taste in women and I know what sort of man Mrs Misfit is attracted to.
However our type doesn't allways work out when it comes to who we hit it of with and who we end up in bed with. Personality and chemistry wins the day. Hence why we have had some wonderful times with people traditionally not our "type" and no doubt we may have not been traditionally their "type" either. Yes, I very much like short haired brunette women with a slimmish/athletic build. If we see a lady out in public who looks kind of like this Mr has generally clocked her before me and knows she'd be my type.

I didn't think I had a type till I joined fab. If you had lined up the men I had as lovers in my first stint on here ....I definitely had a type.
However now is completely different. I've gone for completely different. And so far that's worked out so much better. They don't seem to be arrogant dickheads. |

I'm a sucker for nice eyes and a smile that's unexpected, the kind that really lights up the room and changes how a person looks.
I like a slightly rugged look I guess and I'm partial to tall and dark men.
However my famous crushes are David Boreanaz, Joseph Morgan, Irish Elba....to name a few so it's not just the tall dark and handsome that Mr thinks!

I struggle to define my type — I really do. I'm still not sure I have a type. My type, if I have one, goes beyond the initial bodily aesthetics and visage.
My type is the one who chats to me in such a way that it pricks up my ears, massages my cerebral and pushes most of my buttons on my control panel. That happens from her first message or the through the sustained engagement of chat. |
