What species of animal are luke skywalker,han solo and the other human type creatures in star wars?

They not from earth, which is where humans come from! Or are they from earth? They speak English! Did they visit earth and not like it?

I don't know the backstory. Either we're supposed to suspend our disbelief, they're human but evolved on another planet of are descended from humans who originated in earth

Actually, the origin of humans in Star Wars is not currently known in cannon. They are believed to have come from Corusant originally but no-ones knows the actual 'home planet' for humans

However, in the expanded universe and films like Battle for Endor & Carnival of Courage. Humans were considered to have originated to Earth and then travelled to Corusant.
