All depends on the context.
As an initial message I think straight into dirty talk from either side is a bad move.
But it all depends on the purpose and intentions once an initial message has established interest. If all you're looking to do is meet up for a no strings shag then crack on. But diving straight into the shut leaves no room for anything else. It's hard then to step back and tone things down if you've gone in all guns blazing.
But if it's going to be a one time hook up then honestly, who cares. Smut away.

Surely it's the person on the receiving end that dictates if it's appropriate or not.
9/10 a man will find it acceptable. Majority of women won't.
In most case (not all, always hypocrites) the womdn whom don't like it, won't do it. |

If we get crude or graphic messages from people we don't know ,it's a delete regardless of who they are.
Some men might welcome random dirty chat,but not all will either.
People are individuals,so what gets one person going ,may not be the same for the next .
It's always best to know the person you're chatting to and how receptive they'd be to it .

I don't see it as inequality it depends who's on the receiving end.
If a women started talking dirty in my inbox I'd ignore her just as much as I would a man, nothing worse than people you don't know listing what they want you to do to them and sprouting off a load of crap when they have zero idea of anything about you personally it comes across as desperate from both sides especially in a 1st message.

Compering male attitudes to female attitudes is like comparing apples and pears. Your equality issue where men are disadvantaged here is a case caused by centuries older wider inequality and unequal social norms for women.
There's nothing purposely unfair here, just the story of how we are socialised differently. If it were not the case I'm sure there would be a far more equal spead of males to females and far more similarities in sexaul patterns and attitudes. So you'll never see this change unless you unravel centuries of inequality and social norms. Or stop being so tone dead and actually understand the women you want to get into bed with and message appropriately.

Most women I know aren't on fab looking for wankchat. Whereas a good 80% (I reckon) of men on fab are here purely for wankchat and have no intention of ever meeting or stepping away from their screen.
