"It hurts and put pay to all upcoming plans (all be it just social and a club visit)
Anyone else suffered and hints, tips, suggestions?"
I broke three ribs a few years ago. Ouch.
The first week is the worst - it then gets a little more tolerable. I took Arnica 200c in homeopathic format - you can pick some up from amazon, it's meant to help heal them faster. Also, keep on top of the painkillers in the first week.
Hope you feel better soon.

"Ibuprofen and heat, sometimes strapping it up helps. Don't cough that really hurts."
They don't strap ribs any more, it restricts deep breathing and is said to contribute to possible lung infections. |

Did mine 3 weeks just about ok now. They say 6 weeks . Coughing is bad sneezing far worse
Don't strap anything up unless you want bad lungs. Found holding stomach in with hands as I coughed helped |

Falling off horses, really (sniggering as assume that it was some other vigerous riding!) |

Sorry to hear that, OP. I've cracked a few ribs in my time and my only advice is to avoid laughing, which is not helpful.
But in seriousness, you do need to keep trying to take deep breaths, even if painful, as it clears the lungs. |

Have broken ribs a number of times. Worts was falling off a boat and hitting the back rail, broke 3 at once. Other times include collisions in sport and can I claim my sternum and ribs during surgery?
Rest, anti inflammatory medication and occasional ice/heat |

Very sore. I fell down some stairs on a d*unk weekend in Amsterdam. When I sobered up it was excruciating."
Also d*unk when doing this. Very sore and there's nothing you can really do about it |

Make sure you do breathing exercises. If you don't, the natural response of trying to limit to shorter breathes to deal with the pain will most likely lead to developing a cough. I've been there and it's not pleasant, every cough feels like it's reopening the fracture.
Hope it heals fairly quickly for you x |

Cheers for the suggestions and sympathy... at least I can feel the love here
Rest would be lovely but not happening as a carer, so needs must etc.
And if any of those blowjob suggestions were offers... sure I could manage that though to be honest, the odd cough, chuckle reading through and a couple of sneezes as well, have all left me pretty knackered. Ugg. |

Yep! Did 4 in years ago! Painkillers and don’t stay still too long. Cough/sneeze/laugh with caution. I still get aches in mine now when it’s too cold.

Don't try to have a threesome
Had a chest infection (20 asthma attacks a day) from December, was in severe pain suggested to the doctor I had cracked my ribs sometime in January and was ignored. Carried on with life as much as possible including heavy lifting at work. Couldn't shift the chest infection. Had an xray in February where I asked them to check for fractures, gp said nothing was found.
By April was in agony and couldn't take deep breaths and infection still hadn't cleared, gp refereed me for a CT scan to check wasn't cancer.
3 fractured ribs discovered so finally given stronger painkillers and a week off work. Was May when the weather was warmer I was finally pain free.
Stupidly during one of my mad moments trying to get on with life I went to a club and tried to have a 3some. Big mistake getting spitroasted. I would have healed a lot sooner if I rested more. |

I've had cracked ribs a couple of times, once in my early twenties from playing Rugby, the other last year when someone deliberately knocked me off my bike with their car.
In both cases, the only thing that I could do was try to take it a little easy, It took around 6 weeks before it felt like it had completely healed.
