When it comes to horror based VR games, I've always steered clear as I'm not a fan of in your face jump scares, really dark places and loud sudden noises but today, after watching a video on YouTube, I decided to play a horror VR game for the first time called The Exorcist: Legion.

I will admit, I was nervous of playing this game but remembering what to expect from the video I watched helped me keep my cool and I was able to complete the first two chapters without any problems. I've still got three more chapters to do which I will get round to in time.

What scary VR games have you played?

Not played it but I heard the resident evil 7(I think) is a good game and supports VR

That would freak me the hell out. I hate jump scares. I've been playing fnaf (non vr) and the jump scares have me throwing the controller accross the room

I'm thinking of doing Resident Evil 8 in VR but will have to wait until I get a PSVR 2 sorted for Christmas.

8 is good but more like an action packed sequel rather than a horror centric game. Think aliens 2

True. The segment where you have to escape from that baby monster is still pretty terrifying though.

Completed the Exorcist VR game yesterday. I can definitely see what makes it one of the scariest VR games ever made. I'm glad I watched a YouTube video of the game first lol

I have the PSVR and it is very good and always good fun. I've already started saving up for a PSVR 2 for Christmas.

Think if a meeting the GF parent’s VR game existed, then that would be diabolically scary…

If you are console exclusive then the following won't be much use to you but there are VR mods for most of the modern RE games. Definitely for RE2Make, RE3Make, RE7 (Also on PSVR) and RE8.

I don't think they have done RE4Make yet.

They work quite well and have even managed to build in movement based aiming which must have been a challenge in an existing engine.
