Men slating

So I did a post earlier in the swingers chat, now it wasn't about men it was about messages and not taking the polite no thank you, it was actually about women.....
It wasn't long before it became a yeah men are like this post and it got me thinking why is it automatically assumed it's just men that are rude?
In my experience most the men that message are fairly polite and complimentary of our profile most message to purely compliment and accept we aren't looking for them.
Don't get me wrong we get the odd few knobs in the inbox, but what the post was regarding was actually the women who messaged.
It kind of seems people are automatically straight in for the men even if they've done nothing wrong.
Anyway not much point to this just a shout out to all the respectable gentleman of fab, it's not your fault your tarred with the same brush & me for one couldn't me a single on here.

Aw, that’s a really sweet thing to say Mrs K.
But some of us really are dickheads. We all know it. And the rest of us feel a bit bad about that. A sort of generalised, low-level guilt about the behaviour of our gender. |

It kind of seems people are automatically straight in for the men even if they've done nothing wrong.
Anyway not much point to this just a shout out to all the respectable gentleman of fab, it's not your fault your tarred with the same brush & me for one couldn't me a single on here.

Even men will hate on men to garner favour with the women folk.
Yes granted some men are the absolute dregs of the place. But I have experienced some absolute vile and horrible things from women that men get accused and slated for too. |

As a female, on a SEX site (yes a sex site!!) don't play the whole woe is me shite about crude messages and faf messages when you have your boobs/bits out, statuses claiming how horny you are and entitled profiles. Tbf I hate on men (in general #NotAll etc) and it has nothing to do with the wanting women to like me more. In fact, in here I am pretty sure it will get women to hate me more. But I generally hate on men because generally (that’s overwhelmingly more than the other way) they are the culprits and they make the world and fab a much more unsafe place for women than men. And the (few if you want to call it) men that ‘ruin it for the genuinely nice guys’  are the ones that make women generally alter their behaviours etc. not meeting without socials first (as acknowledged can be about safety etc) and though women can be capable of the same, it doesn’t impact men as a collective. Also the experiences of men are valid and shouldn’t be downplayed or undermined. That is also true. As someone that has experienced forms of ‘violence’ at the hands of women I can say that and acknowledge that the way these issues affect women is different.
In terms of messages- men are also overwhelmingly the culprits. And from things like unsolicited genital pics to online abuse they’re overwhelmingly the culprits. Even when men are the victims. |

Because like everything, everywhere the small minority of arseholes spoil it for a decent majority.
The reason people have filters on their account is because they get harassed and when they say a firm no, they get abused.
I gaurentee for every 1 man that's received an abusive message from a woman, there's 50 women who've received an abusive message.
It's disproportionate. It's wrong. But it's true. Some man can't handle a damaged ego, and take it personally. |

Just to add - the issue is also that we know that behaviour from a low level- abusing women on the internet for not sleeping with them is more likely to lead to VAWG and ultimately, to be frank, put women in severe danger. I think that’s why the issue is discussed the way it is. BUT I agree that men’s experiences need to be taken way more seriously. And that’s by other men too. I admit to being afraid to talk about my experiences with things and I’ve still never told another man about them. |

Total disaster, she was - and I'm not exaggerating for effect - a total cunt.

I've had plenty of messages that were nothing but polite, friendly, showed some general interest in me and had clearly read my profile, but unfortunately that are still in the minority. With every police message, I do my best to respond, even if it's a polite no thanks because I genuinely appreciate the time and effort that went into the message.
Unfortunately, the majority are not like this, and when you look at volume, ratio or percentages, the bad heavily outweighs the good (in my experience).
That being said, I don't agree with constantly bashing, but when people ask questions on forums, I will always answer honestly, hoping that some will learn, take a different approach and in some of the worst cases, learn basic respect.

I've generally found the men on Fab to be pretty sound with the odd nutter thrown in to keep me on my toes. Most have accepted a "No thanks" without any issue.

As for the thread topic. I think man bashing has been accepted on here for a long time and it’s just become part of everyday life on here.
Men are an easy target and get the brunt of the complaints. Saying that I would guess the majority of the ones being complained about don’t use the forums. |

Speaking only for myself (and this is older experience, because my message filters are as high as they go) - a majority of the shitty messages I got in reply to no thank you (or anything else really) were from men.
However.

If I thought about it (which I clearly did), something like 70% of the bullshit I got was from guys, but given that something like 90% of the messages I got, total, were from guys, guys were underrepresented in the bullshit I received.
I was often taken aback at the sheer fucking gall of some couples and women on here.
It might look like most of the bullshit comes from guys - but that's only because most of anything comes from guys. If my experience is right. |

It’s not just on the forums or this website, but society in general. Men, especially young men, are now more likely to be seen as a ‘problem’. The word masculinity is always paired with toxic now. Body positivity applies to women only - men are just seen as fat. There are so many examples. It’s no wonder odious individuals such as Andrew Tate have got a following. |

Yep, definitely had some appalling treatment from couples myself. In fact, I'm very reluctant to get involved with them as a result.
Not had much issue personally with single women but certainly heard some horror stories about their behaviour in clubs. |

While I do get the odd bit of abuse, I actually have had worse from couples!
I like men. They are why I'm here. And I've said it before I find the men here far more interesting, attractive to me, and more able to hold my attention than anywhere else and that's why I keep coming back.

I have had the occasional abusive msg on here but not many, and if I had a problem with men msging me I'd put my filters on, it says on my profile I'm looking for single men so thats who msgs me and I don't have a problem with it, bit off topic but I used to go to swingers clubs but I stopped going a couple of years ago because of a woman who wouldn't take no for an answer, the single men there were polite and respectful unlike this one entitled woman put me off going. |

One of the worst messages I got on my single profile was actually from a woman, she got pretty nasty and downright insulting when I would drop everything and meet her qhen she wanted to (I'm a mum so no I can't just do that) the time waster was thrown and then the rest, fat, ugly, desperate yadayada.
Oh and the fact it was supposed to be a solo meet, but suddenly her bf would be there but not involved...I put my foot down and said no.
FYI she was a real f as we spoke on the phone and not a bloke.

Had exactly the same thing, she was pawing at D trying to get him to undress and honestly I laughed about it at the time. He justly and bluntly set me right, stating vice versa he'd have my back.  |

So there's love doctors out there that do compatibility quizzes effectively.
What's interesting is when I spoke to one, she said narcissistic traits are actually as prevalent in women as they are men.
Men have treated women like shit for generations, and whether some women now feel they can men, who knows. But two wrongs don't make a right.
Essentially, don't be a rude bellend. Anyone. Speak your mind and have opinions sure but being insulting when there is no reason for it is proper dickhead behaviour. And some which some forumers definitely do despite me being the pantomime villain apparently

I have never had any abusive message on here or even something negative, everyone that I have encountered has been so nice and I have made many good friends since joining up.
Perhaps it’s just a case of early days though |

Most women don't even look for guys on here then just check their inbox and then get all pissy when it's not to their liking. Works both ways!!!

We have messages from men turned off in general but we do message some from the forums or off the back of statuses and we’ve only had one guy who got a bit too pushy. The rest have been very polite and respectful! Cant say we’ve had many issues with single women either, there was one or two who kept wanting to just chat to me or meet me which is obviously not for us at all. Just the two that’s happened with but both were really pushy and got a bit abusive when they were told no repeatedly.

Let's be honest, it isn't the messages they are moaning about, it's the men sending them they dislike. If it was a man that fit exactly what they are looking for, they are not going to complain about the dick pic. The same goes for them men that get it from women. Maybe they do but I can't say as I don't see single mens profiles.
I always find it laughable that most of the women complaining about men sending, or having on their profile, nothing but dick pics are the same women that have nothing but tit pics or bent over ass pics.
The sad truth is that fab is dominated by women. There is a pattern that is visible and a lot of people, not just women, tend to contradict themselves a lot in the forums.
A guy will put up a post asking advice on how to make his profile more appealing as he isn't having much luck and the same few women will jump on and comment how unattractive this type of complaining post is and how it does them no favours. On the other hand you will get posts from women complaining about how rude men are or how annoying they are that they keep sending messages even though they have ignored the first few messages they sent etc. This is just as unattractive and unappealing.
At the end of the day, manners cost nothing. No one is perfect and there is someone on fab for everyone. One person's 10 I'd an other person's 2 and we are all real world 6s at best haha |
