If they have the sophistication to get here, they will have spent some time in the shadows observing us, because this is the smart thing to do. And as intelligent beings, they will have quickly arrived at an obvious conclusion: that as a species, we are completely insane.

I suspect they will have simply fucked off and updated the entry for Earth in the Hitchhikers Guide from ‘mostly harmless’ to ‘avoid if possible’.
