Does anyone else use this for passing on things you no longer need?

Had much success?

Just passed on some computer peripherals and later some books

Ooh yes! I've passed on a fair few bits and pieces using Freecycle.

Have done in the past but we now have some great charity shops nearby so donate mostly to those.

I have given away a lot of furniture through the site, and some odd bits that chazzas wouldn't be interested in (couple of doors, paving stones, tiles).

Got put off a bit when a bloke turned up to collect some cupboard fronts and seemed overly interested in whether I lived alone or if a boyfriend was about to come home.

It all got really uncomfortable so now I give a male friend any stuff and he lists it on there.

Well within one day got rid of two televisions that had been lying around for ages. One old fashioned gone to a gamer.

I've given stuff away and received useful things, so I like it.

Worth looking at Olio too (it's an app). Very much growing in popularity in local areas

Freecycle and Trash Nothing, yes. Got things and given things away, including some large pieces of furniture.

Yes and a local freebay type site on Facebook, but find some people a bit creepy as mentioned above and also feel a bit vulnerable telling someone unknown when I will and won’t be at my address. They can also be as productive as fab for time wasters
