CBD Oil for pets

Morning everyone,

Curious to know if anyone has given a pet CBD oil. My German Shepherd is begining to show signs of the dreaded arthritis that they so sadly suffer with. (Just a slight limp/stiffness at this stage in one rear leg) We have been looking online at suggestions and CBD oil appears to be a common form of medication. We will be taking a trip to the vets, however, curious of people's opinions on this alternative treatment.

Thinking of trying some for the same reason on my setter. How much to add to their food, what brand etc.

From what We've read there has been little studies in relation to side effects etc, but overall appears owners have seen a positive reaction in their pets. Yes dosages would be a little worry if not proscribed by a vet.

Suppose it would vary depending on the weight of the dog. Not sure. Will watch and wag my tail if a good answer pops up

When my dog got run over the vet prescribed paracetamol which was just the same as children's Calpol, so if he's bad again we will just buy the children's Meds as they are much cheaper, weigh your dog and find out the dosage online, I have tried CBD oil though it's hard to tell if it's working or not as dog's mask pain in different ways.

The problem with the vet is everything is so expensive and when they have you there people will pay what they ask for. Like the children's meds, there must be loads of cheaper alternatives that do the same job. Thanks for your replies
