What is your secret when it comes to

A) Prevention

B) soothing the pain

C) Hunting down these fuckers in the bedroom!

Usually they are not a problem where we live, but the mrs seems to attract them from a mile away!

Apparently Avon Skin So Soft is an excellent repellent. I've not tried it myself.

Avon’s Skin So Soft is the magic repellent.

Anthisan is the best thing to soothe bites - if you can slap some on quickly enough after being just-bitten.

NHS also says antihistamines, which makes sense.

Agree with this. We had to use deet free in Costa Rica and this was the best.

Also recommend buying what we call a ‘zapper’ that you click on the bite and it gives an electric shock to soothe the itch. Not as horrible as it sounds!

A) Plenty of garlic and chilli in your diet. You out of your skin and they don't like it. Apply Skin so Soft. Stand next to someone who is more susceptible to being bitten than you.

B) Press your fingernail into the bite as hard as you can for 30 seconds. Then rub a dab of saliva onto it.

C) Use a mosquito net, so no need to hunt them.

They're attracted to c02, so get fitter than the people around you!

Tiger balm is best for soothing.

DEET is main repellent, but it's absolutely gross. If Avon really keeps them away I wouldn't even want it on my skin.

I don't have them where I am luckily.

North West

Pursue them ruthlessly and kill at all costs

Remove any pooling water from gutters, garden etc to minimise breeding places

Hide under a sheet at night, sweating profusely because you know you'll be bitten otherwise

Now I'm in Spain, I have mozzie zapping tablets that you plug in at night. We don't have a UK adapter for them to use at home, will get one!

I get bitten every single time one is within reach of me

Sadly repellant and even skin so soft don't stop them feasting on me. I use aloe Vera gel to soothe
