The old sweetshop owner diddled me out of two fruit salads when I was six, and I vowed revenge.
As soon as I was old enough I fashioned a costume from an old tablecloth and a bowl of plastic fruit and took to mugging old ladies for their stash of fluff coated sweets, that hide in the bottom of their hand bags.
I keep the sweets in an old cough drop jar I stole from the sweet shop when the owner died from inhalation of powdered sugar. |

Ex-wife. Not when we broke up or anything but specifically when she stopped me seeing my boy.
Walls went up, I keep people at arms length and use shit jokes/sarcasm/cunty comments to deflect from making meaningful connections. |

I won't name names.
But I learned as a child that complicity is social lubricant. That it's worse to be difficult than to be evil.
I refuse to be complicit and my wish for the complicit is painful dryness and a lube shortage. |

"Who fucked you over and turned you into a cold hearted [redacted]? "
Not all villains have to be cold hearted. I think I'd be quite suited to being a jolly one. Charming. Funny. The really dangerous type.
Think Hank Scorpio. Have you ever seen a guy say goodbye to a shoe before? |

"My parents.
Yet I still feel guilty for even admitting it publicly."
And in saying it out loud you make it easier for other people who have walked a similar path.
No one owes their parents unconditionally. They chose to bring you into the world and it sounds like they failed you.
Thank you for speaking out. |

Just like many who have already replied got to say the ex haha
even after nearly 2 years apart she still manages to be an annoyance, I been getting letters from a debt collection firm saying I owe 500 odd quid on behalf of hmrc child tax dept I never though twice about it as know I couldn’t possibly owe them a thing as never had a thing off them, thought it was an error till yesterday when she pulled up to drop our sons birthday money off (3 days late as his birthday was wednsday) and she gave him a letter his national insurance which had her address on which should have been sent here as my son has lived with me since she left and he has always been at this address, I strongly suspect she has been claiming benefit for him as see no reason why his national insurance letter went there. I wouldn’t give a fuck if it weren’t for the fact that I’m somehow getting chased for money and that my son has had next to fuck all off her after she left |

I was once a sweet man, like the opposite of A Christmas Carol. Always tipping my hat off to strangers and giving them fresh mints.
Then I joined fab and got told I was a piece of shit by a few and blocked by many more. And that's how I became king dickhead of the forums. Love to my Harley Quinns out there, you're the best angels! |

They fuck you up, your mum and dad.
They may not mean to, but they do.
They fill you with the faults they had
And add some extra, just for you.
But they were fucked up in their turn
By fools in old-style hats and coats,
Who half the time were soppy-stern
And half at one another’s throats.
Man hands on misery to man.
It deepens like a coastal shelf.
Get out as early as you can,
And don’t have any kids yourself. |

No one fucked me over as much as I've fucked myself over. I allowed it to continue, Time and time again and I have to take some responsibility for not saying "I'm worth more" sooner. |

Teachers.
In my adult life I found out that my specialist SEN teacher knew I was autistic but told no one, so I had to endure a mainstream comprehensive without ever knowing what was wrong with me.
The other kids and many of the teachers were mean to me for being 'slow'. I had very few friends and no support from anyone.
All that pain, rage and frustration for nothing. |

The army, it trained me into a fighting machine, let me loose and then the private military sector took me to exotic places….
Oh wait that shit actually happened |

No one has the capability of turning me In to anything, that is all down on me and blaming others for the way that I have been, the way I am or the way i am at the moment is blame and victim mentality |

If we wrote down what was done to us you’d either scoff in disbelief or burst into tears. We could have easily turned into villains, but despite what some people may think of us, we never lost our kindness and empathy for others. We’ll never be hailed as heroes, but we have no wish to be the bad guys either. |

All my ex's live in Texas
That's why I hang my hat in Tennessee.
My pops was a real mean son of a bitch. I think he hung around out of some misplaced sense of duty - he provided, which was more than most of my friends could say. Emotionally detached, hyper-critical, no praise, violent.
I developed a nice combination of adversity to authority, especially bullies and little regard for my personal safety. With some ADHD thrown in for good measure.
Highly entertaining for some but not always appreciated by teachers who would double-down with the 'because I said so' card. Yeah 'Sir' but... and?
I learnt that preserving my self-respect meant never letting them get the satisfaction from punishing me. I'd take whatever they could dish out and say 'that it - you done now?'.
I wasn't a trouble maker. If I was respected they got it back. Half my report card was glowing the other half was . Occasionally, the head would be all: 'how can it be half bad and half good.' I'd say yeah funny that isn't it? Should I go to isolation then 'sir'.
Then I got the whole Mr Miagi thing. Guy at a boxing gym taught me how to channel my determination constructively. All of a sudden my dad stopped being violent. Weird that. |

My most recent villain is a really lovely person. Yeah they broke my heart for reasons they never explained and with no warning whatsoever.
But she's so kind and lovely. She showed me compassion, empathy forgiveness. Basically everything I wasn't. She could walk into a room of strangers and come out with names and numbers. English wasn't her first language but she could talk to anyone. A real light up the room person.
And then one day completely out of nowhere just stopped. If someone came to me and asked about her, I'd say how wonderful she is but she might just break your heart and leave you in pieces. |

When I managed q shop in Birmingham, the owner used to pay us by cash and he paid me with a dodgy £50,I put it back in the till twice when he kept giving my different dodgy fake notes,in the middle of a shift I waited for a busy period, unhooked the phones locked the shop and went home, that night he got stopped at gunpoint and shot, not fatally by the way, as he had a couple of busy shops with money in his boot,I was questioned by police as they knew about our argument over the fake money, alas this was the only time I worked for an Asian and swore never to work for one again, which I haven't,I'm not racist in any way as I have quite a few close relatives who are of mixed race. But that did put the end to it. |
