Haha my ex used to take the piss out of me constantly for this. Apparently I do it every time I get in a car.

As I used to say to her “You can’t put a price on safety, dear.” No other phrase gets a women so moist.

My car had been left in 1st gear b another driver. I got in, started it and nearly hit his house so yes, now I always check.

Remember

Shake it once that's fine

Shake it twice that's okay

Shake it three times

Your playin' with your self again

I wiggle..

My first car was a mini 850 that you had to pump the brakes up! Consequently I still tap the pedal twice before applying constant pressure …

Was told to always do that by my instructor when learning to drive. Also to do a visual tyre check before driving off. Now habits, I guess.

Always when first getting into the car. But I probably get OCD about it when I'm sitting in traffic or at traffic lights that are taking too long to change; I know it's in neutral because I put it there but still check and check.

These days I get into the car and drive forward and the car veers to the left or right because my other half often parks with the wheels at whatever angle.

I always put my foot down on the clutch pedal before I start the engine.

Less mass for the starter to turn over and no problems if the car has been left in gear.

Is the car parked on a hill?
